about the title and what I love right now

Oh Edie Sedgwick, you are so fabulous and inspiring yet a tragic character. Some people might think the whole cult of Edie is a bit overdone but the reason why I chose her as my inspiration is because she represents what is great about fashion. She had her own style, was an absolute trendsetter and also is one of those fascinating casualties of fame and beauty. She went from "it" girl to junkie but she also inspired Bob Dylan, wore fabulous make-up and I love those giant earrings! Her fashion is timeless and I think everybody should be as daring and glamorous as Edie. I also love that she almost always has a cig and a drink in her hand!

Anywho, let's talk about what I love right now. I love shoes, I am obsessed. I work at a shoe store, my closet is absurdly filled with shoes. Right now I want these "Crackling Flames Heels" (from Anthropologie).

I am also obsessed with the long black and gold earrings in the Chanel Spring-Summer 2011 ready to wear collection!

As for my personal style for this season/things I can actually afford, I've been feeling the leggings and boots. Not only are they comfortable but they look adorable. A lot of people do this look but there are some things I feel people should avoid:
  1. Riding boots are cute but I'm sort of over them, motorcycle boots are way hotter.
  2. Avoid legging camel-toe at all costs, wear shirts or dresses etc. that cover that up (if it's there).
  3. Long drapey sweaters look great with boots and leggings! Feel free to belt that sweater for a more polished look
Here are some Steven "Adeson" boots I've been eyeing up:

I'm also curious about trying some leather leggings. They look great but are they comfortable? Here are some by the Row that look promising but are also way out of my price range:

I'm in need of a new winter jacket too, I'm thinking 60s style Leopard print? Let me know of any suggestions
